Seriously, I have yet to see a confirmation e-mail that does not include it. In big red letters.
Hmmm...it's been a few years since I used a TA for AC bookings, but I recall that from one TA, I would get a 6 character code, but it was NOT the AC Booking Ref, but instead was the TA's own booking number...I had to call AC to get the REAL Booking Ref, which can then be used online at AC.com. They just needed my name, travel date, flight info, and BOINGO, I got the number.
