Wow. Good catch. I found an announcement on the
BZN airport site. Here's what their news release says:
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) today announced new, non-stop seasonal summer flights to New York/Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to be operated by United Airlines. Located just 14 miles from Manhattan, EWR serves the entire New York-New Jersey metropolitan area.
United Airlines plans to operate the service using Airbus A319 aircraft in a configuration of 8 first class and 112 coach class seats. Flights will operate once weekly on Saturdays from June 9, 2012 through September 1, 2012. The flights are scheduled to depart EWR at 8:25 a.m. and arrive BZN at 11:07 a.m. The return flights are scheduled to depart BZN at 12:00 p.m. and arrive EWR at 6:00 p.m.
Here's what the article
mooper linked to said:
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport has announced it is offering once-weekly flights to Newark, N.J., this summer. United Airlines plans to operate the service using 120-seat airplanes. The flights will run on Saturdays from June 9 through Sept 1. The flights will leave Liberty International Airport in Newark at 8:25 a.m. and arrive in Bozeman at 11:07 a.m. The return flights are scheduled to leave Bozeman at noon and arrive in Newark at 6 p.m. United's website says the flights make a stop in Chicago. Liberty International Airport is 14 miles from Manhattan and serves the entire New York-New Jersey metropolitan area.
Everything matches except for the article saying there's a stop in ORD, whereas the airport is saying it's nonstop. The times seem more realistic for a nonstop (approx 4.5 hours EWR-BZN, and 4 hours coming back). Also, I just checked UA's website and the flight appears to be a nonstop.
