Knowing that BA flights from Gatwick, for instance, [sometimes] use all 4 digits (BA2758 is LGW-AMS) and BA8456 is about to depart AMS for LCY (ok, so perhaps 8XXX now designates BA CityFlyer, but previously, BA mainline to LGW used to have numbers in this range - such as BA8110), so I don't know what criteria you use to determine that "BA7053" is/was obviously a codeshare.

I'm no expert on the BA flight numbering system, but I'm just curious. Was the 7XXX range reserved for codeshares?
