Is this worth the risks or hassle?

Even if this is legally and technically possible in some countries, you will be met with a lot of questions. This can mean extra delays and headaches.

Runs are already a bit stressful and I wouldn't want to add more hassles into the picture. Just go to a country where your passport lets you in without an extra visa, or where you can get a visa really cheap.
