Yes I hope it is temporary only. I really enjoyed ANZ biz class and if getting these becomes as rare as getting the YYZ - SYD biz class on AC then that will be a pain. However it does look promising that getting something out of YVR might be an option (I leave out of YYZ so YVR would actually be a first choice to avoid US customs alltogether).

I do not relish the idea of having to go via europe and then BKK or SIN to SYD, then on to NZ from there (my trips would always include both Aus and NZ so I could start in either country) but I had kind of counted on the idea that about 2 months before departure flights would start appearing on ANZ.

For anyone who has flown ANZ from NA - AKL lately, is there some kind of upgrade promo going on or something else that consumes the seats and thereby limits the availability *A awards?
