Hi guys. I've been a lurker for a while but now I actually have a question. :P

I recently decided that the costs would be in my favor to take advantage of the buy AAdvantage miles program back in January. I purchased 40K miles with a 15K bonus for ~$1100. I'm not an elite though I don't think AA discounts miles for elites like other airlines though I could be wrong. I noticed though that there are mentions of limits on the amount of AAdvantage miles that can be earned per year. I don't have the Citi card as I was denied (maybe they don't like seeing United Chase on my credit report :P ) so I was wondering if there was a limit to the number of miles that you can earn from flying per year? I have a transcontinental trip and a caribbean trip coming up in the next two months and I want to know if I can still earn AAdvantage miles on my trip from flying American.
