As I recall the rental was from National and we simply couldn't locate the return center. We drove around several times with the clock ticking away. Finally located it down a dreary side street that we had passed several times before. For my spouse the rental car return is the most treacherous part of any trip. We have had several bad experiences. The worst being the TVA station in Avignon back in '03....
As we're on the subject of rental cars and airports: one of positive aspects of our recent TPA routing was the highly efficient rental car return and access to the check-in counters. Really smooth.
