I would suggest speaking to the station manager in charge. Tell them its a proof of my travel. To be honest, you should write in to AC's Customer Service reporting this and subsequent consequences encountered (since AC and AP are separate entities).

(The stub portion doesn't have that much info on it) I've asked them for it back in the past and the junior gate attendant just says no (since there is no way she's jeopardizing her job to her superior). I don't ask anymore since that would just delay all the passengers behind me...and they are not a patient bunch you know.
Could I do a better job of keeping BP's? -sure (For flights originating in North America I have all my BPs)
