I encountered the new Checkers continental breakfast policy last weekend, and it was quite a shock. The main shock was in not being able to upgrade the continental breakfast coupon, AT EXTRA COST, to a full breakfast. In effect the continental breakfast coupon was worthless. It's the first time I've encountered that at any hotel.
We'll be moving our stays away from the Checkers unless they change their policy. I think the other Hiltons cited in this thread allow upgrades; the Checkers seems to be alone in not allowing that.
