Yelp is Your Friend
I took a look on Yelp, and there are a few Vietnamese restaurants in the Newport News area. I'll list in order of star ratings.

1. Little Jimmy's Pizza & Sub
2. Pho 79
3. Bamboo One

I can't say from personal experience on those restaurants, but I can understand being frustrated with the lack of diversity in restaurants. I currently live in a town with mostly Mexican taquerias and American chain restaurants. Not much outside of that, so I'm very hungry for anything but!
