I wasn't compensated when there actually was a small electrical fire at the CY Downtown San Diego in December. Quite honestly I thought Marriott would through some bonus points at me for the inconvenience. The hotel was way under 50% capacity so it would have been a nice gesture. But really what can you expect? it was a fire. I didn't seek out compensation because of that.
