If one can believe the trip computer (and I didn't put enough miles on the car to validate it) I got about 33-35 on the highway, dropping to 22-24 or so in the 'burbs, hurt by cold weather.

I haven't seen a new Passat to take. I've had a CC, but that's a big step up in price and down in interior space.
