Stupid, piss poor examples.
You cited examples where people unknowingly got into a situation. That's a FAR CRY from somebody who CHOOSES to bring a child onto a plane and CHOOSES to carry on a load of crap they cant carry. Nobody KNOWINGLY CHOOSES to leave their zipper down, or have their cell phone fall out of their pocket, or fall down the escalator. If you know of anybody who does this just to demand the help of others - please let me know...otherwise, you're wasting your time by posting such poor examples.

If I see your cellphone fall out of your pocket unnoticed, do I have any obligation to call your attention to it?
If I notice your zipper is down, do I have any responsibility to let you know?
Of course not, you are fully responsible for, and obligated to be in control yourself and your 'junk' at all times.
Knowing that, I will still offer to help.
But you have no right to expect it, of course.
