They must not have been too "embarassed" if they served it that way.
They could have made it look better simply by (in about 30 seconds) sliding the food out of the tin and onto the plate underneath. Would if have been all that difficult? Seems silly to have the plate underneath the tin.
They could not be bothered to make the presentation better, thus they were never embarassed about it to begin with.
Who wants to eat those disgusting eggs from battery hens anyway?
