But in terms of a reward flight if you want that they do take longer than SIA's own Krisflyer. But to get Gold, it would be easier at 3 odd flights than Krisflyer. To Asia trips that is.

The status bonus etc .. isn't that AFTER you have become a Silver, Gold or Platinum Velocity member. Yes if you are, Ethihad gets status bonus, AirNZ and SIA within the Velocity program does not. If you go the above link under each airline if they have it, there will be the three medal colour picture .....

Only Ethihad and Virgin has bonus.
Assuming you are Gold Velocity and fly those (2) airlines with the 75% bonus, a return Asia flight might get 19,200 points. 90,000/19,200 = 4.67 for a reward.

Maybe not Virgin b/c they only give 0.5 points for some of their fares. So maybe just Ethihad then.

And, oh. I don't *think* you would get the benefits with the Ethihad's Guest FFP. Maybe if you are flying Ethihad Business Class though. Like AirNZ, even if you are Gold Velocity flying AirNZ on economy, you only get Virgin Lounge access, not Koru Club or AirNZ lounges - according to their table.

You get 50% bonus for Gold members. Not the 75% off Velocity.

I don't know but the general rule is you cannot double dip points. So you cannot earn Ethihad and Velocity.
