Last week I had my flight cancelled due to the weather. The ticket was booked by Expedia.
KLM rebooked my ticket automatically for the next day, but this rebooking was not possible for me. I proposed another routing to another destination closeby where I had obligations the next day. KLM wanted to rebook me, but the problem was that their revenue management department is closed in the evening so they could not re-price the ticket! So I had to accept their silly rebooking or not fly!!
Then, I chose to cancel the ticket. But now the problem is, I booked it with Expedia so KLM says I need to request the refund from Expedia. Expedia says KLM reissued the ticket so I have to request the refund from KLM.
And even worse, Expedia told me there would not be any refund anyway since this was force majeure
Any thoughts on this? I do not know what happens if a ticket issued by a travel agent has been rebooked by the airline.
Anyway this was my last booking through Expedia!
