The Tupolev Tu-204 hasn't had any fatal accidents. The A320 and A330 both have had fatal accidents, but I don't think any other aircraft is really considered "safer." Not sure about the Yak-40 but they wouldn't send those to Anchorage.

My guess, though I haven't seen confirmation one way or another, is that it will be the A320 and a chance of it being the Tu-204. I really hope it's the 204, it's nice having a bit more variety. But it doesn't look that much different than a 757 which is something that Anchorage sees normally

As far as I know, there is no mileage earning/redemption options. That, and it's very expensive, makes it unlikely that I'll be taking it. Last I checked the flight is scheduled to be a direct flight to Tokyo.
