2) with SMS (about 100 messages total)
3) 1g data [just to download emails]
I'd go with Singtel and get one of their prepaid cards called the "Hi Card."
You can pick up a SIM/MicroSIM from any of their outlets for $15, just make sure you bring your passport along for registration. Then just use $10 or $20 top-ups whenever you need them.
- a $10 top-up will give you 10 days of free incoming calls (and likewise $20 top-up will provide 20).
- you can get 1GB of internet access for $7 which is valid for 7 days. If you will be staying a few days longer, then before your data expires you should purchase a further 10MB for $1 which will extend your entire data balance by 7 more days (so you can basically get 1GB valid for up to two weeks for $8).
- local SMS will cost 5 cents each, so no biggie
P.S. Each $20 dollar top-up will extend the card validity by 6 months from the date of the top-up. Will you be here at least once every 6 months to do this?
