Unfortunately, airline miles are an inherently risky currency. While they can have great potential value, they are also vulnerable to the caprices of the FFP in question - a few changes to the terms and conditions can slash their worth - and, of course, to the vaguaries of the airline business itself. I hope you got some value out of your miles in other instances while you could. And good to hear that LH is honouring them at least ^
