apparently Amanpulo was fully booked for most of our stay as it was Chinese New Year but it certainly never felt anything close to busy - just as relaxing as always, but with enough people around in the restaurants etc to give a bit of atmosphere. That 's good, Amanpuri 's beach was the most ' crowded ' I've seen on both parts - perhaps due to additional security detail with royalty & whoever else present.. & with CNY ending only on Mon - all of 15 days !
However, on some days it was ' ok ' perhaps with many out at sea, golfing , etc. There were quite a number of kids but not too rowdy this time.
While with Amanpulo , one is truly ' stuck ' with no escape , so relief that it doesn't seem chock a block even when full.
Will see the situation next week , at Amantaka , which is non beach
