They said maybe they ran out of china in bangkok. Yet economy class passengers had their meals on china. If it was a crew meal they never said so... perhaps they should have mentioned it to me first saying... 'I am sorry sir we only have this option in an aluminium tray, is that ok?'.

They simply dumped it on my table with no apology, no explanation, nothing. It was only when I mentioned it that they apologised and the manager came to talk to me. They say they 'agree completely that it looks very cheap'. Both the F/A and the manager seemed completely embarassed.
