I went on a business trip to Phoenix a couple years ago and got to the hotel to find I had not packed any underwear. Then, as I was going to put my pants on, I pulled too hard on my belt buckle and it broke off. I went down to the lobby holding my pants up (subtlety I hope) with my fingers and of course the gift shop didn't have any. The agent on duty at the desk was not helpful either, his only advice was I could wait until later when the shuttle was around and "maybe he'll drive you to Target".

Luckily a friend of mine I knew in town brought me emergency underwear and a belt. Trying to hold up my pants in front of all my colleagues was awful.
