I had a very expensive shirt (the most expensive shirt that I have ever owned) get damaged once. It was not an SPG property though (another hotel). The shirt had small metal buttons and the button for the cuff got bent and the metal covering broke off. It was sort of usable I guess but obviously was not as pristine as it once was.

I was pretty sure that they weren't going to replace it or write me a check for the value. It was about 2 years old at the time so I didn't have a receipt anymore.

I just treated it like a sh*t happens and it's nobody's fault. I guess I didn't think of the possibility of getting points or something like that.

It was an $800 Versace button up shirt.
