A wonderful Westin I stay at often (that I think won an award within Starwood) replaced a bottle of perfume of mine. Housekeeping knocked it over and the bottle shattered, and they actually reached out to me to let me know they would be replacing it and I would see a new bottle in my room by the evening. Note: it wasn't Clive, Bond No. 9 or Creed (I wonder what they would have done if the perfume price exceeded the room or even stay rate).

That's exactly what they SHOULD do no matter the price. It was their negligence.
