Arrived at OGG Dec. 30. The place was a mess with the new bomb sniffer testing. The AA line was outside of the maze and running into another airline's space. The TSA guy (really nice) said we could check in at the 1st class counter because I was a gold member. The bomb sniffer TSA again really nice checked our bags and then carried them herself to the counter for us. WOW. So we give our ID's to the AA rep and she says, we have no reservation. So I take out my itinerary and realize that we were supposed to leave on the 29th not the 30th.

My husband starts laughing and says he wishes he has a camera to take a picture of my face which is now sunburn red. AA rep is laughing too. I am chagrined. We managed to get on the full flight (in the last row in front of the restrooms) by payiing the $100 change fee. I told my husband to pretend the flushing was really surf, "Blue Crush" like the movie on the flight over. I was just happy we weren't stuck with paying a higher ticket price because we were traveling on a deeply discounted non-refundable fare.

The goofy thing is we had reservations for our condo and rental car until the 30th. Oofdah. I would fire the travel agent but she would be me.

All's well that ends well and we both agreed that our extra day in paradise was well worth the extra $200. The snorkeling on the 29th in Honoloa Bay was the best we had ever experienced there. Just like being in an aquarium.
