I am really glad with this new Platinum offer. Right timing.
Most stays in Westin Melbourne, where continental breakfast is $32, this is an excellent new benefit for me. I was about to change my business to Hyatt who offered free (continental) breakfast. Right in time, this has convinced me to stay at starwood properties.
Hyatt however provides free cont. breakfast (grand hyatt + park hyatt melbourne) AND a gift (bottle of wine presented in room) for diamond members. Still a bit better technically, but less point rewards in my opinion.
