Whilst I congratulate Starwood for making the changes, there are some issues that needs to be clarified by Starwood Lurker on the adjustments to years of Platinum years.

I called Starwood Corporate Service team this morning and they are telling me that I have 7 years as Platinum years which according to my records should be 10 years but it appears that Starwood has removed the nights and stays for the "double nights" promotion which effectively adjusted the status if you were short several stays.

For example, in 2002, they offered double stays promotion and if you had 20 stays and undertook, 3 stays, that would have brought you to 26 stays under the double stay promotion which would have given you Platinum status.

However, with the adjustments Starwood made at the beginning of the year with your total stay and night credit (as indicated in your SPG account), this effectively adjusted your Platinum status years which would have brought the 2002 status from Platinum to Gold.

I think this is ridiculous for Starwood to do this as the offer for double stay was at their discretion and as members, we supported their initiative/promotion and then they remove this from the system.

I also would like Starwood to enhance their system to provide a better tracking mechaism on their SPG website for every member showing lifetime stays/nights/Platinum or Gold years as members so there is no confusion.

This would ease the calls that Starwood Corporate Service team would be getting from its members curious to know how long it would take for them to reach Lifetime Platinum.
