How do you feel about compulsory x-rays?

From what I have read, anyone, including transit pax, departing the UK by plane is forced to submit to a body scan, with no opt-out option available. [If I'm wrong about that, I'm sure someone here will rapidly post the correct info]

My personal choice is to avoid all flights in or out of UK airports until one can fly without being forced to submit to a scan. YMMV.

Whichever airline you choose, I'd go for the non-stop.
