Voucher from Pay with Miles refundable ticket
Has anyone has any experience with using refundable tickets with Pay With Miles. My main question is: If I buy a refundable ticket, and end up cancelling, I understand they won't refund the miles, but will give me a voucher. I'm OK with that, however, if I buy tickets with that voucher, will it have the same Pay with Miles restrictions? It's a more expensive ticket so I'm OK with my main ticket not getting the MQM's / miles, but if I did need to cancel, am I stuck with a large voucher in which I won't get any MQM's / miles for tickets?
I see this on DL.com, but it refers to a Pay with miles ticket, not voucher (I may be misunderstanding the language though):
E-credit will be valid for 1 year from original Pay with Miles ticket issue date. Residual e-credit value will follow current Delta e-Credit rules and will not be applicable on non-transportation fees. Pay with Miles unused tickets can be used as an e-Credit when it is a primary exchange document. All Pay with Miles terms and conditions will apply to any ticket purchased using an unused Pay with Miles ticket.
I am interested to anyone who has actually experience this scenario. If you would rather PM me, that's fine as well. Thanks!
