Making for Rome in Sept. 2012. I will be at a conference requiring a few hours a day at the Hotel Cavalieri. Double rooms at a conference rate quoted at €315
My concern is that this hotel seems a long way out of the action. Mrs_Dergon and I prefer some nightlife and walking, dining etc in the center. I think I might feel isolated out there.
I think I'd rather walk/cab in the morning from a better location hotel to the conference.
Do recommendations above like the Intercontinental De La Ville and the Eden still stand?
Comments? Additional properties to consider?
Cavalieri is now a Waldorf Astoria (Hilton). You are right not to want to stay here as it is not at all central and is currently looking a bit tired.
Better options would be Hotel de Russie or Portrait Suites (no restaurant here, but then, you are in Rome). Eden is a bit tired, too, so not recommended these days.
