I am looking for some advice in selecting my 2012 Elite Select Privileges and at the same time avoid my noob mistake in selecting my 2011 selections after earning early E status recognition (first time E) last October.

I've read other threads with different situations and appreciated the various thoughts and comments to the OPs. Now, I have 6 days left and after mulling it over for the past couple of weeks I've decided to ping FTers.

I love to travel and do a bit for business and a bit for leisure, mostly NA, Caribbean and occasionally (not often enough in my book ) TATL. Now in Y, but enjoy J.

My 2012 planned flying pattern is variable making the selection a bit tougher. It could be around 20,000 miles/20 segments - so, not even enough for P for 2013. Or with a bit of luck, a few more biz trips (perhaps even a TATL, in Y) and some creative routing it could go to 40,000/40segs. I fly mostly AC, with some UA/US to be creative . I haven't done MRs, try explaining that to the SO

I guess I'm really getting hung up on the first group of Select Privileges. So, here is my thought process:

Choose 2 of the 4 Select Privileges from the 4 below:
50% Top Tier Bonus - 10-20,000 bonus miles isn't bad...
25 eUpgrade Credits - probably will select this
10 eUpgrade Credits - only if I don't select the tier bonus or SM, not likely because I'll also be able to get 10 eUg from the second group of selections. I'll likely wind up with 28 eUg expiring or being donated by Feb 29th.
1500 Bonus Air Canada Status Miles - either it could be useful to edge over to E-lite for 2013 if I'm close, or much less useful if I don't fly that much and I'm not even close to 35k miles.

Choose 2 of the 3 Select Privileges from the 3 below: (I will be selecting those in bold)
10 eUpgrade Credits - Sure, don't know if I'll get to use them all, but a nice getaway with the SO is always good. Playing aerolotto can be interesting
2,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles - pretty useless, not even status anymore, worth 20 bucks at $0.01/mi, the other two options are way more valuable, IMO
4 Maple Leaf Lounge Guest Passes - sure, there is a chance to treat friends and family (FTers included!). Should have picked this last year

Choose 1 of the 2 Select Privileges from the 2 below:
8 eUpgrade Credits for Flight Pass Activities - Won't be using passes, so this choice is of no consequence.
1,250 Bonus Air Canada Status Miles for Flight Pass Activities -

Any thoughts on the trade-offs or value would be welcomed and appreciated.
