Run went fine 28-30. Ran into dd1612 at the gate in AMS headed to CPT.
I wish I had a video or picture of the lady at immigration in CPT. It was truly priceless. She busted out laughing when I answered how long I was there for. I looked at my watch ans said about 2 hours. I then told her there were several of us on that plane doing the same thing.

On arrival in CPT, the pathway to the left is closed for international transfers, so you must go through immigration, customs, and then back UP to departures. Retrieve boarding pass, go through security, Immigration again, then gate. It sounds like a lot, but in reality, it was a 20 min deal.

I did manage to upgrade AMS-CPT, CPT-AMS, AMS-JFK.

Be forewarned.... BOTH mine and dd's seats for the return CPT-AMS were wiped from the system when we checked on them before boarding AMS-CPT. We both had to have them call CPT to get the eco comfort seats back in, as the agents in AMS had no control.

Lounge in CPT is small, but fine for a quick drink, email check, etc...
DD1612 even managed a shower in the short time!

Kudos to him for having the guts to do these back to back. I am not sure I could handle that!
