Calling all non-elite flyers (for amusement value)
It's a long story, but I'd be grateful if any non-elite flyers could post their solution to this problem:
A. A flight is cancelled. It is the second last flight of the day.
B. There is not enough room to accomodate everyone on the next flight, which is the last flight of the day.
C. There is only one seat available, but two passengers still not accomodated for the cancelled flight.
D. One passenger is on a paid full first class fare. The other is on an award ticket from a partner airline.
Who should get the seat, and how should it be decided?
1. Whoever checked in first.
2. Whoever paid the most.
3. Whoever is in the higher class of service.
4. Who has the highest status in the airline's FF program.
5. Who has the highest status in the airline's alliance program.
6. Flip a coin.
7. Auction the seat to the highest bidder.
8. Any other method you may prefer.
Thanks for your assistance.
