you clear in YYC

YYC Customs is pretty fast on Canada side but........... you have to collect your checked bag there hand in your entry card go to connecting passenger area down the hall to your left.

stand in line for an agent (2 stations working most days)
give them your bag, they advise your gate.... then fun part

you go out into arrival area turn right and walk to other end of the airport go up 1 level and go through security again and go to your domestic gate.

They now have a Nexus line so faster, but a total PITA

I avoid YYC going or coming from USA, it's a joke of a setup

YYC drill/time is this:

If you have Nexus, going to USA without checked bags it takes 35-40 mins
Coming into Canada and connecting without checked bags 30 mins with Nexus, without Nexus add 10 mins, with checked bags add another 10-15
