How do people deal with carrying them in cars and planes. As a joke I turned my RunKeeper on while on the Shinkensan last fall. Got a congratulatory email from their site for a new personal best, running 12 miles in 5 minutes or something crazy like that. I would prefer not to do that on a routine basis obviously. So how do people deal with Fitbits and travel? Thanks.
Fitbit does not track you through GPS, but rather through an accelerometer. So I just wear my Fitbit like I do at all other locations. Sure, sometimes you get a few extra steps recorded while in a car, but it is a very small percentage of the daily total, and therefore I don't worry about it.
