The promotional was not working properly last week when i booked a cash and points flight from London to Dubai. No cash was loaded into the system. Did not take them long to realise though. I received the following email a few days ago!

We regret to inform you that due to some technical issues we recently faced, the cash component towards the issuance of your award ticket was not charged to your credit card.

In view of this, we require an amount of USD 599.00 for the unpaid cash component. We therefore request your approval to charge the credit card used to issue your award ticket with the above mentioned amount.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We will appreciate your consent no later than 31st January, 2012. Should we not hear from you later than this period, we will cancel your award ticket, redeposit your Qmiles to your membership account and refund the amount charged to your credit card without any cancellation fees.
