I have more concerns about ORD as a hub if they can't do something about that winter weather thing. I still haven't heard the AA plan for dealing with that
Cheers.
Honestly curious here - does the anecdotal evidence back the facts re: ORD in winter? Can someone point me to a definitive site detailing delays due to weather by month? ORD has this reputation as a nightmare in the winter when in fact, except for last winter which was a BEAR with HUGE snowfalls, weather hasn't been all that bad recently, certainly no worse than the big thunderstorms that roll through in summer. More than anything I suspect its the flight loads and runway configs that are responsible for delays at the US's 2nd busiest airport. Will the new alignment 'solve' some of these problems? And most importantly, when will the FL get Yeung Ling???
