Poor Air Pacific Service
Flew savu savu - nadi in July. Air Pacific overbooked the 17 seat plane by 8 seats!!
We (4 of us) agreed (were coerced) to switch to a flight scheduled to depart one hour later which was cancelled due to weather. As a result we ended up on a flight that departed savu-savu 24 hours after our schedule and missed our connecting flight to Sydney.
Fortunately, our travel insurance covered the extra nights accommodation and Virgin graciously switched our connecting flight at no charge.
However, I still missed a day of work and we had a really stressful 24 hours.
I wrote to Air Pacific in August to complain about this and have followed up 3 or 4 times but am yet to get a substantive response.
My suggestion: Avoid Air Pacific at all costs as they simply do not care about their customers.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to "get through" to air pacific would be gratefully received.
