Well... I think this WAS that. Maybe this wasn't the best solution they could have come up with, but I do think it will open up a lot of E+. This remains to be seen, however, but I will let you know mid year, as I am on the some of the tightest E+ flights around. Somehow I think this thread will still be active come then...

Yeah, US is fine, but no Asia service to speak of and every time I check them they are MUCH more expensive. I have a $150 cert for them expiring in May that I haven't been able to use because I've yet to see a fare that it would have helped me on. Of course, YMMV.
