Yes, officially you are supposed to 2 blank pages in your passport. But enforcement is not regular. They looked through my passport to ascertain the adequate number of blank pages on only one of my two trips.

Then why do they need two or three blank pages? The official explanation is if you stay over beyond your entry permit, you will have to apply for extension, for which extra pages will be needed to process and grant you extension of your stay.
