I have been with UA since 1986 and have over 1.6 million in-the-seat miles with them alone not counting LH, SAS, etc. I received around 100,000 recalibrated miles. Paltry sum for me for what they so greedily and dishonestly took away!
I have my whole flight history since 1986 with UA. I have no idea what years, what flights, what fares, and what credit card charges they used? It is a big mystery to me and makes me even more skeptical, irritated and feeling cheated since some people who have flown only a few years are reporting they received 500,000 plus in recalibrated miles.
There is something that is not right in River City and the new UA with the most professional people (???????) in the business do not want to be professional and send me printed out information on how they recalculated my account. And when I call they have no idea how that number was arrived at. What the hell gives anyway? Possibly bait and switch advertising policies!!!!

If you have your whole flight history with UA, here's what you do:
Total your EQM for all years (through 12/31/11), subtract the BIS for all years (through 12/31/11), that's your recalibration.
You don't need a printout from UA.
