Severe flooding in Sabi Sands area

Awoke early this morning to news that our booking at Kapama (near Hoedspruit) was cancelled due to severe flooding that washed out our camp and that they wouldn't reopen until August. Apparently, it was widespread such that several others we've checked (Sabi Sabi, mala mala, and others are closed as well.

For the folks who know the area very well, can you let me know what lodges may not have been affected as severely as others? Are there other game lodges in other areas of SA that would provide the same level of game drive experience as the lodges of the private reserves near Kruger?

Even if their were lodges near Kruger unaffected, would the game drive experience be diminished after a period of flooding?

I'm trying to locate a good news website to follow, but we need to rebook as our reservation is just over 30 days away. Any ideas?

Your help, more than ever is appreciated. Thanks!
