Couple of questions:

  • What happens when you are stuck on the taxiway for 45 minutes or an hour (e.g., JFK on a bad evening) waiting your turn for takeoff? Does BA allow you to use electronic devices then, or are you just stuck with a prolonged session of self meditation?

  • Would it not help to get the CAA to review the electronics rule if a major British airline like BA gave it a bit of a nudge -- at least to have the rules relaxed a little, more in line with the FAA's for example, if a radical overhaul should not prove possible/desirable
