I have noticed that as well. The tablecloths and tray linens are the new gray, and the napkins are 100% white (no blue trim). I think it's just an update to the product, perhaps introduced together with the new amenity kits.
Domestically, it's same old, same old, even on AFS routes.
I wonder why they are using different linens on domestic vs. international routes -- seems counterproductive if trying to reduce costs and streamline? Does anyone else find the grey linens and plain napkins to seem cheap and "less premium?"
On my JFK-LAX the other day, the drink cart used grey linens, the dinner linen was grey, and the trey linen was blue. As previously stated, I've also had the opposite where the trey linen was grey and the table linen was blue – obviously both combinations are catering issues.
