I had a similar experience earlier this month in MIA. About 40-45 minutes, half the bags came out, then nothing for a good 20 minutes. The priority access bags were dead last to come out. MIA is not one of my favorite airports. From the time of landing to exiting the rental car facility it was in excess of two hours.

Then again, yesterday at LAX I was first off the plane from Gate 40 yet my bags were already out when I got to baggage claim. I count my blessings. :-)
