Miami is really bad. I have waited over an hour several times there for bags. I often fly to MIA then on to South America on Avianca. I used to leave at least 3 hours between flights to make sure I could get my bags from AA in time to check in with Avianca. Now, when possible, I interline then when I check in on AA, but that too can be dicey. Miami is just plain horribly managed in the baggage department.
