I was not willing to shed additonal $500 for a better flight\ timing, so I guess what you pay is what you get. I still get a good connection to Tel-Aviv. C'est Lavie.

767 isn't "that" bad its just AZ's old product and the real difference is in J not in Y
Y is Y and as you put it the AVOD is the major difference
In J a different story - new A330 is light years ahead of 767 in everything (seat, seat configuration, AVOD etc.)
