I remember when I used to fill up the car and some guy in a spiffy white uniform would come out, pump the gas for me, wash my windows, and check my oil. Gas stations also used to give away S&H Green Stamps and some collectible like a toy or glass with every visit. There are probably people over at GasStationTalk.com still kvetching how that doesn't happen any longer.
