Don't mean to sound like a smart alec, but the best advice you can give your friend is to never ever fly with Air Asia. As can be seen in this case, if ANYTHING ever goes wrong or needs attention, you cannot expect Air Asia to do anything to help you. They have the absolute worst customer service of any airline in the business as far as I've seen. If everything goes right with your trip you might save some money. If anything goes wrong, you stand to lose a lot more money than if you'd simply booked your ticket with another airline to begin with. It's obviously too late now, but hopefully some of the people involved have learned an expensive lesson. NEVER EVER USE AIR ASIA.
