Notice something new (to me) when I book two tickets together, then go to separate them (to enhance upgrade chances). Get the message “Continental.com mileage bonus for this reservation will only be credited for the original reservation.”

What does “mileage bonus” mean? If there are two tickets split into separate confirmation #s, do you still get $10 deposited into your account?
